Testing the Correlation and Heterogeneity for Hierarchical Nonlinear Mixed-Effects Models

چکیده
Nonlinear mixed-effects models are very useful in analyzing repeated-measures data and have received a lot of attention in the field. It is of common interest to test for the correlation within clusters and the heterogeneity across different clusters. In this paper, we address these problems by proposing a class of score tests for the null hypothesis that all components of withinand between-subject variance are zeros in a kind of nonlinear mixed-effects model, and the asymptotic properties of the proposed tests are studied. The finite sample performance of this test is examined through simulation studies, and an illustrative example is presented.

Fixed effects testing in high-dimensional linear mixed models
Many scientific and engineering challenges – ranging from pharmacokinetic drug dosage allocation and personalized medicine to marketing mix (4Ps) recommendations – require an understanding of the unobserved heterogeneity in order to develop the best decision making-processes. In this paper, we develop a hypothesis test and the corresponding p-value for testing for the significance of the homoge...

Abstract Objective: One of the theories that motivation into a multi-objective model considers, Mayer's theory of personal investment. This theory is a useful framework for evaluating multi-dimensional and hierarchical nature of goal provides the motivation. The aim of this study is to investigate a multi-dimensional and hierarchical structure of achievement goal orientation. Methods: The popul...
متن کاملConfidence intervals for intraclass correlation coefficients in a nonlinear dose-response meta-analysis.
This work is motivated by a meta-analysis case study on antipsychotic medications. The Michaelis-Menten curve is employed to model the nonlinear relationship between the dose and D2 receptor occupancy across multiple studies. An intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) is used to quantify the heterogeneity across studies. To interpret the size of heterogeneity, an accurate estimate of ICC and i...
متن کاملAn Overview of Nonlinear Spectral Unmixing Methods in the Processing of Hyperspectral Data
The hyperspectral imagery provides images in hundreds of spectral bands within different wavelength regions. This technology has increasingly applied in different fields of earth sciences, such as minerals exploration, environmental monitoring, agriculture, urban science, and planetary remote sensing. However, despite the ability of these data to detect surface features, the measured spectrum i...
متن کاملTrajectory tracking of under-actuated nonlinear dynamic robots: Adaptive fuzzy hierarchical terminal sliding-mode control
In recent years, underactuated nonlinear dynamic systems trajectory tracking, such as space robots and manipulators with structural flexibility, has become a major field of interest due to the complexity and high computational load of these systems. Hierarchical sliding mode control has been investigated recently for these systems; however, the instability phenomena will possibly occur, especia...
